The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces that, based on Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on European Business Statistics, the statistical threshold, which applies from 1/1/2023 to 31/12/2023, above which importers and exporters (enterprises are also included), are required to submit an Intrastat declaration is formed as follows:
INTRA-EU IMPORTS (ARRIVALS): 150,000 €
INTRA-EU EXPORTS (DISPATCHES): 90,000 €
It should be noted that an Intrastat declaration is submitted for intra-EU transactions of goods if, in the previous year, the total transactions of intra-EU imports (arrivals) or/and exports (dispatches) of goods exceeded the statistical threshold of the previous reference year (2022) or in the event that the total transactions of intra-EU imports or/and exports of goods exceed the threshold during the reference year (2023).

CHANGE OF THE DEADLINE SUBMISSION OF INTRASTAT DECLARATIONS

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announces that the Deputy Minister of Finance decision no. Α.1120 / 28-5-2021 has been issued, which amends the Minister of National Economy and Finance decision no 1099733/8159/0014 POL
1253/9.8.1993 (Β΄600) Collection and processing of data of Intra-Community trade
(INTRASTAT system), as in force.
According to the newly issued decision, from June 1st of 2021 and for each month
hereafter, the INTRASTAT declaration is submitted to ELSTAT, via the electronic
address https://eurostat.statistics.gr, within the same submission period as the
recapitulative statement of intra-Community acquisitions and supplies (VIES) and no later than the deadline for VIES declaration submission.
The decision will be posted on the ELSTAT website at the link https://www.statistics.gr as soon as it is published in the Government Gazette.

Northern Ireland

The Hellenic Statistical Authority informs the providers of statistical information obliged to submit Intrastat declarations that, based on the EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement and the Protocol which is an integral part of the Agreement for Ireland/Northern Ireland, from 01/01/2021 (reference month January 2021), Arrivals-Imports and Dispatches-Exports from/to Northern Ireland will be submitted via Intrastat declarations with country code XI.
It is clarified that Arrivals-Imports and Dispatches-Exports from/to the United Kingdom with the exception of Northern Ireland will not be subject to Intrastat declarations as of 1 January 2021 (reference month January 2021).

The Hellenic Statistical Authority announces that the exemption thresholds for the year 2021, below which the VAT- registered natural or legal persons are exempted from providing Intrastat declarations (E.U. Regulation 638/2004,article10), are as follows:
ARRIVALS: 150.000 €
DISPATCHES: 90.000 €

United Kingdom

The Hellenic Statistical Authority informs providers responsible for submitting Intrastat declarations that during the transitional period from 1/2/2020 to 31/12/2020 (Official Journal1 of the EU — 2019/C 384 I/01) imports-arrivals and exports-dispatches from/to the United Kingdom will continue to be submitted through the Intrastat system.
